The Nickel District Skeet and Trap Club (formerly the Nickel District Gun Club) has been in existence since 1960.  First established in Garson, Ontario and later relocating to Azilda on Bonin Rd in 1969.  The club was incorporated as a not for profit organization in 1991. The club purchased on July 10, 1997 a 160 acre property in partnership with the Sudbury and District Kennel club in Worthington, Ontario on C. Johnson Road.

The Nickel District Skeet and Trap Club is a proud member of the Ontario Skeet Shooting Association, the National Skeet Shooting Association, and the Shooting Federation of Canada.

The club hosts a number of tournaments namely the Northern Ontario Skeet Championship and the Duck Unlimited Rubber Boot Shoot  for sporting clays.
